  talks about two iconic photos of Scottsdale and explains the backstory. F
 irst\, we’ll learn about a 1950s restaurant that was iconic in its day a
 nd traced its roots back to a store in the 1920s. The second story is abou
 t a woman who played an important part in the early development of the tow
 n and city. Treats are available while supplies last. Please register to a
 void disappointment.\n\nHow to find Stories & Sweets\n\nThis presentation 
 is hosted in the Community Design Studio\, a building that looks like an o
 ld church (because it was!) and is on the northeast corner of 75th Street 
 and Indian School Road.\n\nWe have limited parking on the west and north s
 ides of the building\, but you can park in the lot to the north at the Met
 hodist Church.\n\nThis presentation is part of Stories & Sweets\, a collec
 tion of stories shared throughout June. It is presented by the City of Sco
 ttsdale and Community Involvement Advisor Bruce Wall. There will be three
