Part of June Days in Old Town Scottsdale
Room Location
Scottsdale Community Design Studio, 7506 E. Indian School Road

Join us for a unique Scottsdale storytelling session as you nibble on sweet treats from a local business. Listen as storyteller Bruce Wall covers two of the most notorious crimes in the 1950s in Scottsdale. The first is about the DUI arrest of one of Scottsdale’s most famous residents. What happened in court will surprise you! The second story is about a town councilman who was shot to death in his home, but the twists in the story play out like a movie. Who were the suspects? Was the case ever solved? The presentation is appropriate for adults. Those over 13 are welcome (parental guidance suggested). Treats available while supplies last. Please register because we are expecting a full house!

This presentation is part of Stories & Sweets, a collection of stories shared throughout June. It is presented by the City of Scottsdale and Community Involvement Advisor Bruce Wall. There will be three additional Stories & Sweets on Tuesdays in June, including:

  • Part 1: The History of the Community Design Studio. Register
  • Part 2: THE Place to be Seen and The Indomitable Woman of Scottsdale. Register
  • Part 4: Scottsdale and the Little Red Schoolhouse. Register

Each presentation is considered standalone. You can pick and choose which presentations you want to attend.
