Library Creatives: Communal Mark-making with Alexandra Bowers and Matthew Hunt

Join us for a morning of collective drawing, observation, and conversation inspired by the exhibition. Beginning with a guided walkthrough in the gallery led by artists Matthew Hunt and Alexandra Bowers, participants will spend time looking closely at artworks before gathering together to draw in community. This workshop approaches drawing as a communal and accessible practice. This is an opportunity to slow down, observe, and respond creatively through mark-making. Participants will draw from plants, mirrors, and printed imagery arranged throughout the space while also exploring imaginative and intuitive approaches to drawing. All ages and skill levels are welcome. Materials including paper, pencils, colored pencils, markers, crayons, and pens will be provided. Participants are also welcome to bring their own sketchbooks or favorite drawing tools.

Space is limited to 25 attendees, so please see a staff person at the Information Desk 30 minutes prior to the start of the program to pick up a ticket, which will be your registration.
